NATIONAL CONSTRUCTION GOLD MEDAL

Cambodia’s National Construction Gold Medal (Meday Sthapana Cheat):

On June 30, 1994, the Late King Norodom Sihanouk instituted the National Construction Medal (Meday Sthapana Cheat) to recognize contributions towards the reconstruction and development of Cambodia in the wake of the collapse of the Khmer Rouge regime.

Since 2006, Chase Sizemore, our founder, has played a pioneering role in the reconstruction and development of the Cambodian education system by building primary schools for disadvantaged and orphaned children who did not have a school to attend while emphasizing the importance of educating girls at risk for human trafficking and has received a total of eight National Construction Gold Medals.

During the November 2016 opening ceremony, His Excellency Khem Bunsong, the Governor of the Siem Reap Province, on behalf of His Majesty King Norodom Sihamoni awarded Chase Sizemore and the members of the youth group of the Faith United Methodist Church located at 700 Fairview Drive, Montoursville, Pennsylvania 17754, the National Construction (Meday Sthapana Cheat) Gold Medal, for building the Omaneash Primary School in Omaneash Village, Khnar Sanday Commune, Banteay Srey District, Siem Reap Province of the Kingdom of Cambodia, the approximate GPS coordinates: 13° 37’ 8.10” N,103° 55’ 45.62” E. 

During our December 2016 opening ceremony of O’Russey Primary School, the Governor of the Oddar Meanchey Province, awarded National Construction (Meday Sthapana Cheat) Gold Medal, on behalf of His Majesty King Norodom Sihamoni, to Chase for constructing O’Russey Primary School in the jungles, just a few kilometers east of the Thai border, the approximate GPS coordinates of 14° 20’ 28” N 103° 43’ 9” E.

In furtherance of his work, Chase has begun the renovation of Prey Phgheas Primary School in Battambang Province (our first primary school in Cambodia) and the construction of Prey Kol Primary School at Prey Kol Village, Sroyorng Commune, Kulen District, Preah Vihear Province, Cambodia, the approximate GPS coordinates are 13°52’41.3″N 104°26’59.0″ E. The Governor of Preah Vihear Province will issue  National Construction Gold Medals to Mr. Dustin Matthew Johnson, Mr. Derek Michael Ong, Mr. Kevin Aaron Rosenberg, Mr. Lloyd Robert Cohen (posthumously), and Mr. Chase Sizemore.
